Peer Action Collective

PAC Logo Image

Peer Action Collective (PAC) is a network of Peer Researchers, Social Action Leads, and Changemakers. Young people in these roles have lived experience of violence and work together to find out what needs to happen to improve their local area before turning these insights into action! Inclusive North is the lead organisation working with local partners - Child Action Northwest and Blackburn with Darwen Healthy Living to ensure delivery of the PAC Project in the North West region.

Peer Researchers are trained to talk to other young people about experiences with school and youth violence. They are developing research questions, choosing a way of engaging with young people, and using the conversations to create recommendations for change. Social Action Leads will choose social action to create and sustain social action aimed at improving your local community and preventing youth violence. Social action will be informed by evidence generated by Peer Researchers working as part of your team. Social action can include campaigning with policymakers, changing or creating something in your local area, engaging with local authorities, and much more.

What we do:

  • Work with schools to carry out Social Action in PHSE lessons, lunchtime, or after-school enrichment sessions

  • Engage with local and national stakeholders to ensure decision-makers are hearing our findings

  • Meet and work with young people who would like to be involved and make a difference in schools.

PAC is funded by the Youth Endowment Fund, the #iwill Fund (a joint investment between The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport) and the Co-op Group.
