Egality - D-CYPHR

About the Project: D-CYPHR (DNA, Children + Young People's Health Resource) is a UK-wide research initiative aiming to use DNA to understand childhood diseases and improve healthcare for children and adults. It is led by the NIHR BioResource in partnership with the NHS, Anna Freud, and the University of Cambridge.
Aims: The project studies the genetic and environmental factors in young people aged 0-15 to help develop new treatments and better care for a range of conditions that began in childhood, including diabetes, mental health, heart disease, rare diseases, and immune conditions. It also aims to understand how the environment and experiences, alongside genetics, influence development and disease risk.
Participation: Children and young people aged 0 to 15 in the UK can participate by providing a saliva sample and completing a health and lifestyle questionnaire with parental consent. The collected information and samples are de-personalised, and the project aims to include participants from all backgrounds.
Inclusivity and Youth Voice: D-CYPHR was developed with input from children and young people, who are often underrepresented in health research. The NIHR BioResource and the Anna Freud Centre collaborated to establish the D-CYPHR Ambassador programme, where young people and parents contribute their experiences and ideas to shape the project.

Egality - Oxford Study
About the Project: Inclusive North helped organise a meeting for the Egality Oxford Study on both positive and negative mental health and its relation to physical exercise, which was held via an online video call with 7 participants, in addition to the Egality team.
The following leaflets display more information on the Oxford Study. It was the social media post that was shared across Inclusive North's social media for recruitment purposes.
