Young, Loud & Leading
Youth Voice. Real Power.
Young, Loud & Leading is a seperate voluntary group that we at Inclusive North are supporting to develop and establish. The incubation support from us will mean the group will have access to our leadership team for governance and capacity-building.
From work on the Young People's Programme, which was funded by the Youth Endowment Fund and called Peer Action Collective, it was because of this project that it was decided to setup this project. The group will be guided by a collaborative leadership and is set up to encourage sustainability by up skilling trustees in leadership, and so they can learn and share responsibilities. This encourages shared responsibility, leadershop development and active participation from each of the young people involved in the project.​​​​​​​
Young Loud and Leading was created by young people who believe young people should have the power to shape our future. We want youth voice to mean more than surveys and consultations.
We want young people at the table where decisions are made.
Stereotypes and Bias
Young Black and racially minoritised people are judged before anyone listens. They will run workshops and safe spaces where young people can challenge stereotypes and show the real impact of bias.
Silence and Bystanding
If racism doesn't get called out, it will get worse. They are looking to train young people to speak up, support one-another and run campaigns to encourage others to act.
Racial Injustice
Lack of Representation
When decisions are made in councils, schools or youth services, young people are not in the room. They are wanting to train young advocates so their voices are heard where it matters.
Unequal Opportunities
There are differences in education, jobs and leadership. There will be peer-to-peer programmes ran, which will build skills, confidence and open doors.
Systemic Inequality
From school exclusions, to policing, these systems aren't fair. They will be using youth voice, research and campaigning to push for fairness.
Building Collective Power
Creating Spaces – Youth forums, workshops, and online groups where we can share experiences and build confidence.
Developing Leaders –training in public speaking, campaigning, and digital skills so young people don’t just take part, they lead.
Being Creative – Using art, music, and social media to tell our stories and reach wider audiences
Working Together – Linking with schools, community groups, and national networks so that our Lancashire voices are part of a bigger picture.

Campaigning for Action – Taking things beyond talk into campaigns that target the issues young people care about most.
