New APPG report highlights inequalities in access to stem cell transplants

The National Black, Asian, Mixed Race and Minority Ethnic Transplant Alliance (NBTA) highlights the work of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Ethnicity, Transplantation and Transfusion, which brings together MPs and stakeholders to address inequalities in organ, stem cell and blood donation. The group focuses on how a lack of donor diversity can disproportionately affect patients from minority ethnic backgrounds, who are often less likely to find suitable matches for life-saving treatments.
